Postage and packing

Each print (A5 and A4 sizes) comes mounted on card and wrapped in film. A3 size comes in a tube.

If you order 1 - 3 items, a shipping/processing charge of £3.49 applies per order (anywhere in the world).
If more than 3 items are ordered, shipping/processing is free.

This charge includes digital downloads, as they are processed individually, and this reflects the time needed to process the images and put them on the server for download.

If it is convenient for you and you do not trust the post, you are welcome to collect your purchase from our office in NW London, having made an appointment by phone.

The name Petticoat Lane derives from the sellers of old clothes
who congregated here from the 16th century onwards.


This used to be quite a fashionable residential area in the Tudor times,
the Great Plague of 1665 drove out the well-to-do, and it was soon populated
by Western European immigrants and a vast Jewish comunity. They expanded
the market, and in Victorian times - 19th century - it became the
largest market in London
, totalling three miles of shops, more than half of
them selling clothes.


The Petticoat market grew so much during the Victorian times, that
it needed expanding. In the 1900s the street was widened, and
the market became even more popular. To
